John Abraham's toothache forces him to go mute
John had to undergo an emergency root canal procedure in Abu Dhabi
Mumbai: Last week, the entire cast of Welcome Back flew to Abu Dhabi for the final leg of the film’s schedule. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film was initially announced for a Christmas release but was postponed to next year. During the schedule, John Abraham developed a severe toothache, which put him in an uncomfortable spot on the sets.
A source from the sets told us, “John was in a lot of pain and wanted to fly back to Mumbai but he had to have it attended to immediately, in Abu Dhabi itself. He got in touch with a doctor there and underwent a root canal procedure. It was done in a few hours and that made things slightly better for him. While he returned to the sets on the very next day, he was visibly in pain.”
He then requested the team to film those scenes where he wasn’t required to deliver any dialogues. “John didn’t want to waste the day. Because of the surgery, he was unable to talk to anyone. So Anees shot those portions where he was not needed to deliver any dialogues. John somehow managed to finish the shoot and retired to his hotel room,” our source said.
John could not be reached for comment.
