Hyderabad: Amid reports that a few of its legislators would join the TRS, the Telangana Telugu Desam Legislature Party has decided to take up a bus yatra from October 10 to expose the TRS government failures, particularly on the power and agriculture front.
This decision was taken after TD president and AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met the party’s Telangana legislators on Monday morning.
Speaking to this newspaper after the meeting, senior legislator A. Revanth Reddy said that during the bus yatra, legislators and senior leaders would conduct a field study to get a feel of the ground situation by interacting with people, especially farmers who are facing a power crisis.
“There is no use of blaming Andhra leaders for all your failures day in and day out. You had better stop this Andhra bashing and concentrate on administration which is lacking all these months,” Mr Revanth Reddy said in a caustic tone directed at Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
Senior TD legislators recalled that it was Mr Rao who had promised to supply electricity abundantly if voted to power. He had even said a dedicated power line would be installed to get power from Chhattisgarh state, said the TD leaders.
