Thiruvananthapuram: The formalities related to the next phase of allotment to medical courses except MBBS or BDS and allied courses for 2014 commenced on Tuesday. Allotments will be made to medical and allied courses such as BAMS, BSMS, BHMS, Bsc (Hons) Agriculture, Bsc (Hons.) Forestry, BVSc and AH and BFSc in this phase.
Candidates included in the medical rank list-2014 and who want to participate in this phase of allotment to other medical and allied courses should compulsorily confirm their options online, by logging on to their home page. After option confirmation, they can delete the unwanted higher options and can re-arrange the existing higher options.
Those who do not confirm their higher options online within the stipulated time will not be considered for allotment. The allotment will be published on Friday. Candidates allotted other medical and allied courses should remit the fee or balance fee shown in the allotment memo at selected branches of the State Bank of Travancore (SBT) and should join the respective colleges from October 13 to 15. Colleges are to submit non-joining reports before 5.30 pm on October 15.
This will be the last phase of allotment to medical and allied courses. Hence, the candidates who get allotments to such colleges should join those institutions. Otherwise, they are liable to pay liquidated damages as envisaged under Clause 12.2.4 of the Prospectus for KEAM-2014.
