Kochi: Cricket fever is back in city as India take on West Indies in the first of the five-match ODI series at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium here on Wednesday.

The day/night match is the tenth ODI to be hosted by Kochi and India previously played here last November against the same opposition and won by 6 wickets.

India has a formidable record in Kochi having won six ODIs while the visit of Australia in 2010 was called off without a ball being delivered due to rains. The met department has forecast rains and it lashed out heavily here on Tuesday night but cricket lovers should be hoping the skies are clear for the 2.30 pm start.
