CoimbatoreA 60-year-old  AIADMK worker set himself on fire in Periyanaickenpalayam on the city outskirts after the court rejected the bail plea of  former chief minister J. Jayalalithaa.
 
 
According to Periyanaickenpalayam police, Gopal, a tractor driver from Chitra Nagar in Veerpandi , an active member of AIADMK, took part in the hunger strike held in Periyanaickenpalayam four days ago.
 
On Tuesday evening, Gopal was glued to the news coverage of the court order rejecting bail for Jayalalithaa. Soon, Gopal doused himself with kerosene and set himself ablaze.
