Rs 14 cr sought for building Zilla parishad complex

Ongole: Zilla parishad chairman Nukasani Balaji requ-ested the Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu to sanction Rs 14 crore for the construction of  building complex for Zilla Parishad office in Ongole.

He said that he has met Mr. Naidu in Ongole city on Wednesday and requested him to sanction at least Rs 6 crore to start  the construction of building works immediately and submitted a memorandum to him in this regard.  He said that the CM responded positively to sanction the funds and expressed confidence that he would sanction the funds soon.

He said that he has also submitted a report on ‘Pachani Prakasam’ programme conducted by the ZP recently and massive tree plantation drive launched by the ZP and toilets cleaning programme conducted at the ZP schools. He said the CM  lauded the efforts of ZP in this regard.

Mr Balaji said the Zilla Parishad general body meeting will be held on October 10. He requested the minister Sidda Raghava Rao, MPs, MLAs  to participate in the meeting as it was  the first ZP general body meeting after Balaji took over charge as  the ZP chief.
