Andhra Pradesh new capital to develop in both Krishna and Guntur
Chief Minister said that the both Vijayawada and Guntur cities will develop as twin cities
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naiud said that the new capital will come up in Krishna and Guntur districts. Speaking to media here on Thursday at his residence, he said that the new capital will come in Vijayawada-Guntur-Tenali-Mangalagiri (VGT-M) area.
The Chief minister said that the both Vijayawada and Guntur cities will develop as twin cities. He said Tenali and Mangalagiri will merge in capital city.
To a question, he clarified that he did not tell that the capital would come in Guntur district. Meanwhile, Mr Naidu refuted the charges of Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and his Cabinet colleagues on the power crisis in Telangana state. He accused KCR for not having foresight on the power sector and failing to solve the problem.
He said that he had said at the time of state bifurcation that the Telangana State will face power problem and the Andhra Pradesh will face financial problem. The CM alleged that Mr Chandrasekhar Rao had misguided the Telangana people saying that he will bring power from Chhattisgarh. Mr Naidu said with his long experience in overcoming power problems, Andhra Pradesh has purchased 200 MW power from NTPC and in four months Andhra Pradesh has purchased 1,977 MW.
