Minorities have realised that Narendra Modi is working for all sections: BJP
‘In other parties like Congress and NCP, there is a leadership vacuum’
New Delhi: The BJP on Friday said that the minorities in the country have realised that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not working for any particular community, but for all sections of society.
"Our so-called secular political parties created a lot of confusion among minorities about the BJP and Modi. However, minorities have realised that Modi is not working for any particular community, but for all sections of society," BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told PTI.
"We say, sabka saath, sabka vikas. Poor and weaker sections are in all communities. A particular scheme should not be for a particular community as poor people are in all sections of society," he said.
The biggest change that has taken place with Modi government is that the power brokers have disappeared from corridors of power in Delhi, he said.
"With Modi's motto: na khayenge, na khane denge, the power brokers' shops have downed shutters. Now, they are looking for havens in states ruled by their favourite Congress party," the BJP leader said.
He said the people of India now have to decide that these new-found places of power brokers should also be closed by electing BJP governments in Assembly polls.
"The response of Congress-led government to Pakistan's transgression was very weak, but our government is giving a befitting reply," Naqvi said. On criticism that Modi has been addressing "too many rallies" in state Assembly elections, Naqvi said, "So, what is the problem. In other parties like Congress and NCP, there is a leadership vacuum."
