Stress management camp for Karnataka legislators
Legislators would be invited to a special camp to be held during the winter session
To beat stress, legislators would be invited to a special camp to be held during the winter session of legislature in Belgaum, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced here on Thursday.
Speaking after the launch of two health schemes for the mentally challenged, he said such a camp would help them combat stress and prevent them from turning diabetic. The suggestion for such an initiative came from Dr. Ashok Pai, president of the task force for mental health, set up by the state government.
The Chief Minister also assured that the state government would set up a special centre for treatment of Autism in Bengaluru.
In order to help mentally challenged patients get free treatment at taluk hospitals, community health centers and primary health centers (PHCs) across the state, the Chief Minister launched “Manochaitanya” and “Manasadhara” schemes today.
Health minister U.T. Khadar said a super Tuesday programme would be organized at primary and community health centers to provide treatment to mentally challenged persons under “Manochaitanya” scheme.
