DMDK meet to discuss law and order situation
DMDK will discuss with there district secretaries about the situation and decide on the way forward
Chennai: DMDK founder Vijayakanth has convened his party’s district secretaries meeting on October 24 to discuss the current law and order situation in the state following the conviction of AIADK supremo Jayalalithaa.
A statement issued by the party said that Mr Vijayakanth would chair the district secretaries meeting on October 24 and subsequently meet the district office bearers of southern districts and northern-western districts separately on October 25 and 26 respectively.
DMDK sources said they would seek inputs from the district secretaries on the situation in their respective areas and discuss the way forward for the party. “We will discuss with our district secretaries about the situation and decide on the way forward.
Our party has been always campaigning against corruption and had even held a conference against corruption ahead of LS polls,” sources said.
A senior DMDK leader said that the conviction of Jayalalithaa has created an opportunity for party take on both the AIADMK and DMK. He said Mr Vijayakanth would declare the party’s strategy on taking forward the issue of corruption to the public.
