Sridevi slaps a legal notice on RGV, demands an apology
The actress is miffed with his upcoming film name changed from 'Savitri' to 'Sridevi'
Mumbai: Sridevi slapped a legal notice on filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma alleging that he is using her name to promote his upcoming film, ‘Sridevi’.
RGV, who has been in news for all the wrong reasons aroused a lot of controversy after releasing the first look. The State Commission of Protection of Child Rights had filed a suo moto case on RGV for violating child rights. And now, Sridevi has followed suit alleging that RGV's film infringes upon her "personality rights, intellectual property rights and constitutional rights".
RGV recently made the move of changing the title from ‘Savitri’ to ‘Sridevi’. Reportedly, the legal notice also points that he had fascinations for the actress and that using her name as the film’s title will make audience connect to Sridevi. No proper explanations were given for the sudden name change.
We hear that Sridevi has given him three day to comply to all her conditions which include an apology, change in title to name a few.
