Hyderabad: Bhavya Sri, 26, the techie who went missing from the city on Thursday has been reportedly found safe with a male friend in Visakhapatnam. A special police team has gone there to bring her back. However, the cops have not confirmed the development. She was traced based on clues from her mobile phone call data.

She is expected to reach the city in a day or two. It is also learnt that she had booked train tickets from Secunderabad to Vizag.

Sources said that on Saturday she called her husband Karthik Chaitanya and told him that she was safe and would be returning. However, the reason why she went there remains a big question. The unidentified male friend is her senior in college and is known to the couple. Meanwhile, cops claimed they have no information and are working on clues to trace her.

Bhavya Sri, an employee of Open Text Technologies India, had a love marriage two-and-a-half-years ago with Karthik Chaitanya, an employee of Deloitte. The couple hails from Vijayawada and was staying at 7th Phase KPHB.

On Thursday, Bhavya Sri left home in a private cab as she was late to office. She was constantly sending messages through WhatsApp to her husband about her whereabouts. She informed him she was in the cab and had started for office. But later she stopped replying and when he called her phone, it was found switched off. When Chaitanya called her colleagues, he found she had not come to office. Her mobile was switched off.

Three teams were formed to trace her. One was sent to Vizag, one to Vijayawada and one is in Hyderabad.
