Warangal: The Telangana Telugu Desam Party leaders said they would wake up the TRS government from deep slumber through their Rythu Bharosa Yatra. The three-day yatra taken up by the Telangana Telugu Desam Party MLAs reached Warangal on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, Telangana Telugu Desam Party president L. Ramana criticised the TRS government for lacking vision. He claimed that the MSP of maize has been raised from Rs 900 a quintal to Rs 1,310 after they launched the yatra.

Telangana Telugu Desam Party Forum convenor Errabelli Dayakar Rao said the chief minister lacked adminstrative skills. “Mr Chandrasekhar Rao is trying to misguide people by criticising Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for the power crisis in the state,” he said.

He said that he would stick to the TD for his entire life. He predicted that T-TDP would come to power in 2019 general elections. Telangana Telugu Desam Party deputy floor leader Revanth Reddy suggested that it would be better if the TRS government could beg the Centre for power rather than begging TD leaders to join the TRS.

He said that the TD would not face any crisis by the exit of 2-3 leaders from the party. He said that a majority of the leaders in the TRS belonged to the TD. “Many of the leaders in the TRS are readymade and the TD alone has the capacity to produce leaders, he said. Former MLA Motkupalli Narsimlu said KCR’s governance is reminding one of Nizam rule.

As many as 240 farmers died after the TRS emerged to power. “Had Mr Rao consoled any one of the families?,” he asked. Mr Rao promised of jobs to youth in ‘Bangaru Telangana’ but only his family members have got plum jobs in the separate state of Telangana, he criticised.
