Google will be holding a keynote event on October 15, just a day short of Apple’s event on October 16.

Google’s IO keynote event in June unveiled the Android L for developers and the Android One handsets. Apart from the two, Google also unveiled the Android Wear devices from LG, Samsung and Motorola.

This time, Google is expected to launch the final version of Android L, which is allegedly named as Android Lolipop v5.0. Also expected to be seen at the launch is the unveiling of the Nexus 9, manufactured by HTC. The HTC Nexus 9 is expected to have a 9-inch (or 8.9-inch) display with a resolution of 2048x1440 pixels, and powered by the Tegra K1 chipset with an internal storage of 16GB and an 8MP rear camera. Market speculations and an online media report stated that the Nexus 9 will be priced at $399 (Approx Rs 24,000).

Google is also expected to unveil the Nexus 6 smartphone, manufactured by Motorola. The Nexus 6 allegedly sports a 5.9-inch display. No more details about the Nexus 6 are available, but we suspect it could sport a Snapdragon 801 chipset with 3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB storage.

Lastly, Google is also expected to unveil the next version of Android Wear (v2.0), which will highlight an upgraded version of the smartwatch. The new Android Wear 2.0 is expected to work independently without the need of a smartphone at all times. Market watchers are also expecting to see Google unveiling the Android TV.
