Visakhapatnam: After lambasting local MLAs and officials for not reaching people at the time of distress on Monday, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday was critical on the Indian Navy for not fully joining relief operations even after being requested twice.

Though the Eastern Naval Command (ENC) claimed to have readied ships, helicopters and other aircraft ahead of Cyclone Hudhud, it is yet to start full fledged relief works in Vizag, he added.

Coming down heavily on telecom operators for failing to take necessary steps to prevent failure of services and it ensure quick resumption of the same, Mr Naidu said that the telecom operators had utterly failed to offer help to people who were in distress due to lack of communication.
