Aamir Khan skips Assembly Elections in Mumbai

The actor is currently away in Cannes attending a film-related prior commitment

Aamir Khan, who is currently away in Cannes couldn't cast his vote in Mumbai on October 15.

Mumbai: ‘Satyamev Jayate’ host Aamir Khan, who was actively promoting and encouraging citizens to vote on his show, unfortunately couldn’t cast his vote due to prior commitments.

The actor is currently in Cannes attending a film-related prior commitment. According to reports Aamir tried his best to make sure he would be able to cast his vote on October 15 by making special requests to the officials seeking a way to cast his vote through the Indian Embassy while he was away on work, but sadly it wasn’t possible.

Several B-town celebrities turned up to cast their vote in Mumbai, including Ranbir Kapoor, Kiran Rao, Esha Deol, Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Varun Dhawan and a couple of other stars. Aamir’s ‘pk’ co-star Anushka Sharma flew down to Mumbai just to cast her vote.
