Hyderabad: As rail route has been completely restored and the roadways have been opened up with APSRTC running partial operations, private bus operators who had been charging two to three times the fare amount too have lowered the amount now. Meanwhile, SCR restored 26 trains to Vishkhapatnam bringing respite to stranded passengers. Flights meanwhile remained cancelled for the fourth day in a row and are not expected to be resumed before a week.

About 70 per cent of the bus operations resumed on Wednesday. Regular train services, especially towards Visakhapatnam, have been normalised by SCR. “Almost all the train services heading towards Visakhapatnam and Bhubaneshwar have been operated normally on Wednesday

Long distance express tra-ins towards Bhubaneshwar, Howrah and beyond, passing through SCR have been run on their scheduled normal route only i.e. via Visakhapatnam.
However, in view of some of the diverted trains running late and the dislocation that occurred in the last few days, some express trains may be run to rescheduled timings as per need,” said SCR in a press statement.

Vijayawada-Rajahmundry-Visakhapatnam rail route has been was fully restored for rail traffic by Wednesday evening with the opening of the second Railway Line (Up-Line) of the breached track also after completing the repair works. Consequently, train services on this section will run through on both the lines.
