Panasonic T40 is a dual SIM quad-core smartphone with a 4-Inch IPS display

Panasonic India has introduced a new member to its “T” series smartphone, the Panasonic T40. Priced aggressively at Rs 5,990, the dual SIM smartphone is loaded with features witnessed never before in this price range.

Designed to offer advanced features for the youth, this phone is made to fit your pocket in every way. Its dual tone front enhances its workable design of round edges and small form factor. Bestowed with a 4-inch IPS display at a resolution of 800x480, it weighs just 117g. The model is available in three colors which include the Bright Red, Dark Grey and White.

Powered by a 1.3GHz Quad core processor with 1GB RAM, the T40 is well equipped for performance. Its 8GB internal storage expandable to 32GB using a microSDcard and provides ample space for downloading plenty of apps and games. Panasonic T40 has a 5MP rear camera with autofocus and is befriended with an LED flash.

The phone runs the latest Android KitKat 4.4.2 and is equipped with Panasonic’s intuitive Gesture Play+ UI. The gesture based interface allows a user to quickly open apps directly from lock screen. It can be reverted to Android Launcher as and when the user sees fit. Panasonic T40 is also preloaded with some useful apps like the  Pop-i player- a versatile video player that can be resized and kept anywhere on the home screen, allowing the user to use the phone simultaneously and the Music Café designed for single hand use.

With a 1500mA battery, the phone is fitted with Bluetooth 4.0 supporting A2DP; Wi-Fi connectivity technologies like Wi-Fi Direct and Wi-Fi Hotspot, assisted by critical sensors like Ambient Light sensor, Accelerometer and Proximity sensor. The phone will be available in the market starting 16 October.
