Teacher accused of molesting children held
Teacher molested the Plus-One and Plus-Two batch students

Malappuram: A higher secondary teacher of a private residential school at Cherayakad in Vengara has been arrested on the charge of molesting the girl students of the school. He was identified as Jalaludhin Ahamed, 33, hailing from Kolappuram in Malappuram.
The teacher, who ran the school’s entrance coaching class, took advantage of it and molested the Plus-One and Plus-Two batch students, Vengara police said.
Jalaludhin, a counsellor as well as trainer, approached students in a psychological way, Childline counsellor Anvar Karakkad told DC. Under the guise of counselling, he used to ask girl students to come to his chamber even at odd hours and indulge in sleazy talks.
The batch has a total of 62 students from different districts of Kerala, of which 28 are girls. All the 28 girls gave written complaints against the teacher to the Childline which in turn took the matter to the district child welfare committee.
Child welfare committee member Haris Panchili filed a molestation complaint with Vengara police. The students who passed out from the school too fell prey to the teacher’s designs.
