Amineni and Sravya were crowned U-14 doubles national champion

Hyderabad: The Shivanis from Andhra Pradesh  Amineni and Sravya  emerged champions in the U-14 doubles category of the Fenesta Open National Tennis Championship being played in New Delhi. The pair defeated statemates and second seeds Shaik Humera and Sai Dedeepya 4-6, 6-4, 10-7 in the final.
 
Seeded fourth in the draw, Shivani and Sravya had beaten top seeds Sarah Dev and Prinkle Singh, a Punjab-J&K combination, 6-3, 0-6, 10-6 in the semis. 
There was more cheer for Hyderabad as Sama Sathwika made it to the girls U-14 singles final. She defeated Arja Chakraborty of Uttar Pradesh 6-7(4), 6-3, 6-2 in a tough three-setter to set up the title clash with Delhi's Sabhyata Nihalani, who upset top seed Prinkle Singh 7-6(5), 6-0.
 
Akshara Iska (AP) and Ramya Natrajan (TN) lost the girls U-16 doubles final to Jennifer Luikham and Zeel Desai 6-3, 3-6, 5-10.
