Mumbai: In the 288 constituency strong Maharashtra Assembly, Devendra Phadnavis, the incumbent BJP Maharashtra state president is the most likely candidate.

However, according to recent developments, BJP’s former ally Shiv Sena has said that they will support BJP only if Pankaja Munde becomes the Chief Minister.

Munde has openly expressed her desire to become the CM of the state and is considered to be one of the frontrunners for the post.

Being a woman and representing OBCs are points that might turn the tide in her favour. She also has the masses’ sympathy after the death of her father, Gopinath Munde, who was also considered to be a CM candidate.

BJP Haryana with 90 seats is rooting for Captain Abhimanyu. However, Manohar Lal Khattar and Ram Bilas Charma, both who belong to RSS also stand a chance for the top job.
