Hindustan Construction Company bags Rs 393-crore contract

HCC has been awarded a Rs 393.08 crore EPC contract by the ministry of road transport

Mumbai: Engineering firm Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) said it has bagged a Rs 393 crore-worth contract from the union ministry of road transport and highways.

"HCC has been awarded a Rs 393.08 crore engineering procurement and construction (EPC) contract by the ministry of road transport and highway for reconstruction of the 65.87 km section of NH-233 on the Indo-Nepal Border," it said. The section runs from Rudhauli village in Uttar Pradesh to the Indo-Nepal border and further connects to Lumbini in Nepal.

The project is a part of the National Highway Development Program Phase-IV, it said. The scope of the work includes rehabilitation, upgradation and augmentation of the existing carriageway to two-lane.
