Saif Ali Khan issued notice by Election Commission for loud party
The actor organised a wedding bash without prior permission in Gurgaon
Mumbai: On Saturday Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan and his mother Sharmila Tagore were issued notices by the Election Commission (EC) for organising a wedding anniversary bash in Gurgaon, according to reports.
Saif Ali Khan and his wife Kareena Kapoor celebrated two lovely years of matrimony on October 16. The duo organised a lavish party at the Pataudi Palace which is situated 26 kms away from Gurgaon city. The party continued through the night of October 16-17.
The EC issued a notice for violating model code of conduct, on the directions of Ajai Shankar Pandey, reports stated. The EC received a complain that the loudspeakers were used without any permission.
Saif has now been asked to reply by October 21 till 3PM. The model code of conduct was in force in the state of Haryana as the Assembly Elections were held on October 15. Several Bollywood A-listers were present at the function.
