Doctors sent to Delhi for Ebola training

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As part of the efforts to step up measures against ebola virus, specialist doctors from medical colleges in the state have been sent for three-day intensive training in Delhi. So far, the health department has screened around 500 passengers who arrived at the airports with suspected symptoms.
Health authorities here have been tracking every person with symptoms for nearly a month with the help of primary health centres. Additional Director of Health Services A.S. Pradeep Kumar told DC that selected doctors from four medical colleges were sent for training at National Institute of Health and Family Welfare in New Delhi.
