Hyderabad: The Telangana state government has come under fire from T-employee associations for the first time. The associations which were working hand-in-hand with TRS during the Telangana agitation and even after the formation of Telangana, attacked the TRS government at the round table conference held here on Sunday to discuss employee issues.

The Telangana Revenue Employees Services Association (TRESA) even went a step ahead and accused Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao of “cheating Telangana employees” with false promises.

The employees expressed anger at the government for failing to implement Pay Revision Commission recommendations and in issuing health cards.

“KCR claims to be running an employee-friendly government. But in the last four months he did nothing for them except make tall promises. Employees are now of the opinion that he is cheating them.

It’s the revenue employees who are at the receiving end ever since Telangana was formed,” said Mr M. Shivshankar, president of the association. Telangana Employees Association president C. Vittal said, “Though KCR favours employees some top officials are misleading him. It’s high time KCR realises this and takes corrective measures.”

TNGOs president G. Deviprasad said the government failed to speed up the allocation of employees to Telangana by bringing pressure on the Centre. He also expressed concern over the delay in issuing health cards to employees and implementing new PRC scales.

“I have been meeting KCR almost every day and bringing these things to his notice. However, there is no progress,” he said.

Telangana Group-I Officers Association president M. Chandrasekhar Goud said if the government fails to complete allocation of employees to TS at the earliest, they will be forced to take up a “Chalo Delhi” rally in December demanding that the Centre intervene in the issue.
