Jagan Mohan Reddy exempted from appearance in court
He had to tour to Hudhud cyclone-hit areas
Hyderabad: The special court for CBI cases here on Monday allowed the petition of YSR Congress chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy seeking exemption from appearing in person for the hearing in the alleged quid-pro-quo case on Tuesday.
Earlier, Mr Reddy had sought permission from the special court stating that due to his tour to Hudhud cyclone-hit areas he will not be able to appear for the hearing. He requested the court to grant him permission as he will be touring until October 24. Special judge N. Balayogi issued orders allowing his exemption as there was no opposition from the Central Bureau of Investigation.
Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy was granted conditional bail in the case last September. One of the bail conditions was not to leave Hyderabad without prior permission of the court.
