TRS blames Naidu for Telangan power crisis

KARIMNAGAR: Karimnagar MP B. Vinod Kumar blamed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for the  shortage of power in Telangana state. He was speaking to mediapersons here on Tuesday.Mr. Vinod Kumar alleged that Mr. Chandrababu Naidu was obstructing generation of power from many  projects in Telangana. "Following Naidu's pressure, the Sileru Assembly constituency was transferred to Andhra Pradesh. As a result, Telangana state is losing power produced by the plant in Sileru," he said.
 
"On one hand, Mr. Chandrababu had written a letter to the Brijesh Tribunal asking it to halt production of electricity from hydropower plants run in Srisailam left canal and Nagarjunasagar dam.  On the other, he is directing Telangana TD leaders to protest against power crisis in the newly-formed state," he said.Mr Naidu is trying to creating fear among farmers by creating artificial shortage of power in Telangana, he said. He demanded the legislators and leaders of Telugu Desam, belonging to Telangana, to stage a dharna at NTR Trust Bhavan faulting Mr. Naidu’s ‘deception’.
