Hyderabad: Sources close to High Court judiciary revealed that the judiciary has asked the Andhra Pradesh government to provide suitable accommodation for setting up the separate High Court for AP.

Sources pointed out that unless and until the AP government provides suitable place to set up the High Court, including accommodation for the judges, it would be difficult for the judiciary to go ahead with the bifurcation process.

Sources disclosed that a simple process is involved in the bifurcation of cases, division of employees and other logistics. It is the responsibility of the AP government to provide the infrastructure.

The possibility of running of two High Courts at Hyderabad was ruled out by the judiciary stating that the Constitution mandates that the principle seat of the High Court must be located within the limits of the respective state and in those circumstances, the Andhra Pradesh government provide either permanent or temporary accommodation to set up a separate High Court for the state, sources added.
