According to BCAS, suicide bombers could board from any airport in country

CoimbatoreSecurity check was intensifed at the Coimbatore airport on Saturday following an intelligence alert that suicide bombers may board two Air India flights in the small hours of Saturday.
 
A letter from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) headquarters in New Delhi said suicide bombers could board from any airport in the country.
 
Coimbatore city police commissioner A.K. Viswanathan said the airport road is being monitored. Police security has been strengthened in and around the airport complex, he added. Every passenger entering the airport is being frisked and his/her baggage screened at the entrance.
 
The police and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel have been asked to keep a close watch for suspicious baggages and movement of passengers, airport officials said.
