Shah Rukh Khan gifts Gauri Khan a bulletproof car

Mumbai:  Team Happy New Year has been the talk of the town, right from promotions to release. While the stupendous success of their film has given them reason to celebrate, a few threats that have come their way have played party pooper.

Deepika Padukone has sought for protection by the Mumbai police for her safety. Shah Rukh made headlines with his newly acquired bulletproof car that he got after a shooting incident at his friend Karim Morani’s residence.

The success of Happy New Year has put a smile back on the faces of the otherwise stressed out star cast. But SRK is in no mood to forget about the horror. Probably, that’s the reason why the superstar has beefed up his wife Gauri Khan’s security as well. Word is that King Khan has placed an order for a similar bulletproof car for his wife.

“Like any other man, Shah Rukh too wants to ensure the safety of his family. A team of specially trained body guards will be accompanying Gauri and the children every time they step out from now on,” says a reliable source.

This is the first time that a star wife has received such heavy-duty security.

“It was a unanimous decision taken by SRK and his staff to beef up the security for the rest of the family,” says our source. Recently, even Aamir Khan bought a customised bulletproof car for himself.

With the growing popularity and power of actors, their larger than life lifestyle is always under the scanner. Probably that’s the reason, they don’t want to compromise on their security.
