Two flights were delayed due to heavy smog formation over the Shamshabad airport on Sunday.

A Jet Airways flight from Mumbai was delayed due to the smog while the departure of an Indigo flight to Pune was also delayed. The situation improved by late evening.

The chilly weather conditions are due to inflow of winds from North India, which are being pulled by the deep depression system developing in Arabian Sea.

The depression might further turn into a cyclone, which is moving towards Oman.
