Tirupati: Home minister N. Chinna Rajappa said that a full-time chief vigilance and security officer wo-uld be appointed for the Tirumala Tirupati Deva-sthanams soon. The minister who returned from his Kadapa district tour spoke to media persons at Tirupati in the evening on Sunday.Shifting his focus on the Srisailam water dispute with Telangana, the deputy chief minister asserted that the state government has no qua-lms to discuss issue with Telangana Chief Mini-ster K. Chandrasekhar Rao. Faulting KCR’s adamant stand over the issue, he accused KCR for politicising the matter.
 
The deputy CM obser-ved that Telangana was in the grip of power crisis only due to KCR’s short-sighted approach and reiterated that the TD government was prepared to give power to the Telangana state if it stopped power generation at Srisailam.Talking about the red sanders smuggling menace, Mr Chinna Rajappa reiterated that the state government had directed the police wings of Chittoor, Kadapa, Tirupati, Nellore, Anantapur and Kurnool where the menace has been reportedly on the higher side to crack the whip against illegal smuggling of red sanders.
 
The minister noted that after the TD led government assumed office in the state, the red sanders smuggling had come down to a considerable low in the last few months.
