Exhibition on goverment welfare schemes at Krishnagiri
Krishnagiri collector T.P. Rajesh asked people not to misuse the benefits given to them

Krishnagiri: A photo exhibition to highlight the AIADMK government's welfare schemes for workers, indigent and destitutes, was unveiled at the Krishnagiri collectorate on Tuesday. Inaugurating the pictorial depiction of the AIADMK regime's welfare schemes organised by the information and publicity department, Krishnagiri collector T.P. Rajesh asked people not to misuse the benefits given to them under various welfare schemes of the state.
"Tamil Nadu tops the states in providing welfare for the organised and unorganised sectors such as the construction industry. Welfare boards have been created to protect them and their families," he pointed out.More than 70,251 people who are members of welfare boards have been given assistance worth Rs11.83 crore in Krishnagiri. Besides, the families of workers who die due to natural causes are eligible for '15,000 solatium and '2,000 for funeral expenses. In case of accidental death, the family is given Rs1 lakh as aid.
While the children of members are eligible for scholarship, a monthly pension of '1,000 is given to members above 60 years of age and their dependents are given the pension after the death of the members.
