Mumbai: The latest song from Abhishek Sharma's 'The Shaukeens' is a rock number sung by Mika Singh. Composed by Vikram Nagi, the song is a heavy metal track, a rarity in Bollywood. A literal translation of the Mexican film 'Amores perros', 'Ishq Kutta Hain' is on it's way to become the heartbreak song of the year.
Adding to Bollywood's latest obession with animals (Paaji Tussi such a Pussycat from 'Happy Ending'), the song begins as a rock jam with wailing guiatrs and strong percussion that then turns into Indian and Punjabi flavour with dance beats mixed in it. Mika Singh adds the necessary rock growl and hoarseness.
The song features Akshay Kumar as the superstar who is giving a stellar performance, while we see his fan Lisa Haydon drooling over him. Akki totally steals the show in this song as he makes a typical Khatron ke Khiladi entry into the crowd. The highlight of the song is when Akshay strums a sitar effortlessly.
