Salem: About 95 goats, worth over Rs1 lakh were swept away in flash floods Wednesday, near Athur, in the district. Revenue officials quoted the owner of the pen nearby a stream in which about 300 goats were kept, that the livestock were washed away in flash floods. They added that nearly 200 of them were rescued. The revenue divisional officer and others visited the spot.
