Metro trains started on Wednesday from 8 pm to 2 am
Hyderabad: Night trials of Metro trains started on Wednesday from 8 pm to 2 am, wherein the feasibility and technicality tests were conducted.
There are three Metro rakes at the Uppal depot and were tested on corridor-I, between Nagole and Mettuguda.
The night tests will look into the various systems of electronics, computer software co-ordination and also the operational ability at night, which will help the Metro officials get the required certification from the Railways.
A senior officer said, “So far, all tests were carried out during the day. We now need to check the trains and ensure that all systems are in place at night as well.” The trial runs are required to get the safety certificate from the commissioner of Metro Rail Safety.
