Hyderabad: Justice C.V. Nagarjuna Reddy of the Hyderabad High Court on Friday directed the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, to finalise the admissions in PG Engineering Courses of private engineering colleges which are included in the web counselling.
While dealing with a batch of petitions seeking inclusion of their colleges in counselling for making admissions in post-graduate courses of engineering, agriculture and pharmacy, the judge directed the varsity to issue a notification by informing the students that their fee will be refunded in case of cancelation of affiliation to the college in which they got admission.
Earlier, a single judge granted inclusion of petitioners’ colleges in counselling and the JNTU challenged the order before the division bench.
The bench on September 9 directed the varsity to inform the colleges about their shortfalls and include those colleges also into the counselling and the varsity shall inform the students that the PG engineering admissions will be subjected to final outcome of the petition pending before the single judge and referred the appeal to the single judge.
Justice Nagarjuna Reddy permitted the varsity for finalisation of admission.
