New Delhi: Specific reports available with intelligence agencies suggest that India’s most wanted terrorist and chief of the Jamaat-ud-Dawa, Hafiz Saeed, has shifted his operational base to a terrorist training camp of the Lashkar-e-Tayyaba in Muzaffarabad in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Top intelligence sources said the sole aim of Saeed to re-locate to PoK is to work out an elaborate strategy with subversive elements to disrupt the Assembly polls in Kashmir Valley that get underway later this month.

There are reports that both the Pakistan Army and the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) have assigned the task of subverting the poll process in the Valley to the man who is arguably the most wanted terrorist by Indian security agencies.

On its part, the Pakistan Army and the ISI have assured all help to Hafiz Saeed and his key operators in terms of providing adequate firing cover while trying to infiltrate into India, intelligence sources said.

A successful Assembly election in Kashmir will be a huge embarrassment to Pakistan’s security establishments as they are trying to prove on international forums that the common people in Kashmir are being forced to be part of Indian’s democratic process. Hafiz Saeed, is mobilising the Lashkar cadre now to execute some high-profile terror activities in the Valley ahead of the polls.
