Phase 2 Eamcet counselling from November 5
Only those students who have not taken admission are eligible
Hyderabad: Clearing the uncertainty surrounding over Eamcet engineering counselling, the AP State Council of Higher Education on Monday issued the counselling schedule for 174 colleges that were barred from the first phase of counselling after the Telangana state government refused approval citing lack of adequate faculty and infrastructure.
These colleges had later approached the Supreme Court challenging the TS orders following which the SC gave a ‘conditional nod’ for counselling.
Though the TSCHE had insisted that it will conduct counselling this time, since all these colleges are located in TS, the APSCHE had turned down the proposal claiming that it (APSCHE) was the competent authority to conduct common counselling, since it had held the first phase of counselling as per the SC orders.
The certificate verification for students from Rank 1 to Rank 1,00,000 will be held on November 5 and from Rank 1,00,000 to the last rank on November 6. All the students will be allowed to exercise options on colleges and courses on the Web from November 5 to 7. Only those students who have not taken admission so far in any engineering college in the first phase or those who had taken admission earlier, but had cancelled the same are eligible to take part in counselling this time.
