Stop everything: Benedict Cumberbatch is getting married

 

Grab some tissues and brace yourselves girls - another actor has just been taken off the market. While celebrities take to twitter to annouce their engagement, the world's most eligible bachelor Benedict Cumberbatch announed his engagement in an advertisement in the classified section of the London times to tell the world that he will be marrying his long time girlfriend Sophie Hunter.

So, who exactly is Sophie Hunter? According to the Times,  the answer, is that she's a 36-year-old Oxford graduate, actress and award-winning theatre director. Oh, and just in case Cumber-fans weren't already feeling pretty deflated, she can also sing in French.
