CM Siddaraimaiah orders CID probe into girl’s death
Incidents of attack on church, homestay and others occurred during the BJP tenure
Mysuru: A CID investigation has been ordered into a case of alleged sexual abuse and murder of a 14-year-old girl in Tirthahalli, said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, here on Tuesday.
On the increasing incidents of sexual abuse in Bengaluru schools, Mr Siddaramaiah said that all the three incidents of rape of children have occurred in private schools. “We have already initiated action against the management and principals of respective schools,” he said.
On former Chief Minister and BJP leader Mr Yeddyurappa’s comment that with increasing incidents of rape, law and order has collapsed, Mr Siddaramaiah said that there is no problem in the state.
“Incidents of attack on church, homestay and others occurred during the BJP tenure. Was law and order intact then? Such comments are only politically motivated,” he charged. On Mr Yeddyurappa’s comment that governance in the state has collapsed, he rubbished it saying that the BJP leader was playing politics.
