Bengaluru: Around 1,500 to 2,000 BJP  workers, mostly from Mahila Morcha, on Wednesday resorted to a massive protest near Nehru Circle before the CM’s residence ‘Krishna’ for the state government’s inefficacy in controlling crime against women and children. This interrupted movement of traffic nearby.

State BJP leaders including Shobha Karandlaje, R. Ashok and MLA Shashikala Jolle were among the ones who were taken into custody. “We are upset with the government which has miserably failed to control crimes against women and children,” said one of the protestor and a party member.
