Kozhikode: The BJP would conduct a protest march to the state secretariat on November 11 demanding a CBI inquiry into the bribe charge against Finance Minister K.M. Mani and his resignation from the cabinet, BJP state president V. Muraleedharan  said here on Wednesday. Prior to that, the BJP will conduct a protest rally to all district collectorates on November 10.

He said the BJP would intensify the protest on the issue and the details would be finalised at the party leaders’ meet on Tuesday. “The stand of the CPM on the issue is not surprising. It is softpedalling it for fear that a through inquiry will reveal  its attempts to woo Mani in the past.

The CPM’s contention that Mani would influence a CBI investigation through the centre is ridiculous,” he said.
He further alleged that besides the Chief Minister, half a dozen  ministers belonging to the Congress and those of the  UDF allies were involved in the bribe issue.
