Two questioned in Jharkhand for wearing ISIS T-shirts during Muharram procession
The police also questioned the painter who drew it
Dhanbad: Two persons, who appeared to be in their 20s, were on Wednesday detained in Dhnabad for questioning after their T-shirts had inscription of terror outfit ISIS, now known as Islamic State, a hardline Sunni Muslim group that has gained control over large parts of Iraq and Syria.
Reportedly, the youth were spotted wearing the T-shirts at a procession during Muharram in Dhanbad district of Jharkhand.
“The duo was detained after the photos of the youths were published in the media. Deputy Superintendent of Police Rama Shankar Singh questioned them,” Superintendent of Police Hemant Toppo said.
The police also questioned the painter who drew it, Mr. Toppo said, adding that there was no terror-related link found during interrogation.
No FIR has been filed so far, he said.
