Being Bajirao is exhausting, says Ranveer Singh
Sanjay Leela Bhansali has asked the technicians to highlight the original scar on Ranveer’s face
One would imagine that a bald look would save an actor’s time and effort when it comes to makeup. But things haven’t gotten any easier for Ranveer Singh who spends close to three hours getting ready for his shots in Bajirao Mastani.
“Trust me, the leading ladies Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone take one-and-half hours to put together their respective looks, but I take double that time. I thought I’ll save a lot of time since I don’t have to worry about my hair, but there’s an entire battalion of stylists that help me get ready.
It’s very tiring,” says Ranveer during Kill Dil promotions, pointing out to the scars on his face as a result of putting on elaborate costumes.
Apparently, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has asked the technicians to highlight the original scar on Ranveer’s face since he believes it adds to the character.
“Getting into the skin of the character is one thing, but doing a costume drama is another,” adds Ranveer. Well, we agree.
