Mumbai: Mumbai City FC co-owner Ranbir Kapoor was ecstatic over his team’s win against Delhi Dynamos on Wednesday, November 5. The team’s victory has taken them to number three on the table.
The actor is currently focusing all his energy on his team and believes it is crucial to reach the finals at this point of time. In an interview with Indiansuperleague.com he said, “Despite me being an actor, I prefer winning a football match than a movie becoming a super hit. Never mind the score line as long as we win, as long as we have the support of the fans and the love of the city, I think that’s what really matters.”
Although he is more than happy with his team’s success he doesn’t want to say anything that will jinx it for them in the finals. He said, “I am elated and extremely excited. I don’t want to count my chickens before they hatch.”
The actor who recently returned from Thailand where he was shooting for ‘Jagga Jasoos’ says he’s looking forward to his team’s next match and hopes they can sustain their success. Ranbir has got his eye on the prize and he says, “I think third is nothing. It’s either first or nothing.”
We wish Ranbir and his team all the very best for their next match.
