Depression over Bay of Bengal starts weakening

Visakhapatnam: People of North Andhra Pradesh can heave a sigh of relief as the cyclonic system is going to fizzle out and weaken into a deep depression.

The latest forecast bulletin of the IMD informed that the system remained practically stationary during last 12 hours at 560 km away from Visakhapatnam and will probably move towards AP coast and weaken gradually into a depression while reaching the coast by November 9 morning.

“Light to moderate rainfall would occur at a few places on November 8 and at many places on November 9, over Andhra Pradesh and adjoining north coastal Tamil Nadu,” according to the website.

It further warned that squally wind speed reaching 35­45 kmph gusting 55 kmph was likely to prevail along and off north coastal Andhra Pradesh­South coastal Odisha.

There has been a warning for fisherman while venturing into sea.
