Former MP Ponnam Prabhakar feels that budget would not help realise ‘Bangaru Telangana’

Karimnagar: Former Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar ridiculed the budget presented by TRS-led government.He said that it was just a dreamer’s budget and that it would not help realise ‘Bangaru Telangana’ of which the TRS president had been promising many times.The former MP was speaking to mediapersonnel here on Thursday.
Mr. Prabhakar said the government had not fulfilled the hopes of people in Karimnagar who hoped that many key sectors would be allocated adequate funds.They hoped that the district would be given priority in the budget.
“The chief minister during his visit to the city recently announced that he would strive to develop the city on the lines of New York. Health minister Dr. T. Rajaiah promised to provide all facilities in the civil hospital on par with NIMS. But the budget allocations can fulfil neither of their promises,” Mr Prabhakar said. The ex-Congress MP said the budget was prepared focusing on Siddipet and Gajwel constituencies. It did not allocated any funds for development of other regions apart from those two, he said.
