Was Tirthahalli victim in shock when brought to hospital
The girl was in shock when she was admitted to hospital
Shivamogga: The mysterious death of a 14-year-old girl in Tirthahalli has taken a different turn with some members of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) in Tirthahalli in Shivamogga district claiming that she was in a state of shock when she was admitted to hospital. No one has been arrested in the case till now.
When this correspondent spoke to representatives of the Child Welfare Committee who refused to come on record, they said, “Our team had visited Tirthahalli to get details of the incident.
The actual facts are fast getting distorted with the ruling Congress and opposition leaders taking political advantage.”
They claimed that “according to the medical report of Kasturba Hospital of Manipal, the girl was in shock when she was admitted to hospital.
The mention of the word ‘shock’ in the medical report shows, a girl being a minor could get into a state of shock when she faces sexual harassment or gets frustrated.
When a girl faces sexual harassment of an extreme level she may slip into depression and could keep sinking which could cause low blood pressure and tension.“
According to them, "the doctors in Tirthahalli government hospital should be taken to task for not registering a medico-legal case even though the girl had reportedly said she was allegedly made to consume water mixed with something unknown.
Now that the CID has began the probe into the incident, we will have to wait for the outcome," they said.
