Hyderabad: The Hyderabad bench of the Central Administrative Tribunal on Friday extended status quo for three weeks granted earlier in a petition by GHMC commissioner Somesh Kumar seeking to declare his allotment to the AP as illegal and continue him in Telangana.
G Anantha Ramu, transport commissioner of AP, S.S. Rawat secretary to AP social welfare department, and C. Harikiran, commissioner of Vijayawada Municipal Corporation moved the tribunal alleging that the Centre and Pratyush Sinha Committee were flouting their own guidelines in allocating the cadre.
Mr Ramu and Mr Rawat have been allocated to AP and they are seeking to stay in Telangana while Mr Harikiran was allotted to Telangana and wants to move to AP.
A two member bench comprising B. Venkateswara Rao (Judicial) and Ranjana Chowdary (Administration) directed the Centre to file its counter affidavits in the petitions of Mr Anantha Ramu and Mr Rawat by Nov 20 and in the case of Harikiran the bench ordered status quo till Nov 28.
